The Government of Pakistan is ascertaining the details of Pakistani students enrolled in Chinese universities who are currently in Pakistan and want to return to their universities in China.

For this purpose, such students may go to the website of the Embassy of Pakistan, Beijing: www.pakbj.org and click on 'Student Registration' in the bottom left of the main page, download the Excel Sheet, completely fill in the form and send it to the email address: registration@pakbj.org.

Kindly note that the above information is being collected for the purpose of sharing it with Chinese authorites in an effort to expedite the return of Pakistani students to their universities in China. The final decsion in this regard shall be made by the Chinese authorities in accordance with their anti pandemic regulations.

Engr. Saddam Hussain Khurram a graduate from National University of Science and Technology (NUST), Islamabad is admitted in University of Science and Technology (USTB), Beijing, China on CSC Scholarship category A as a Ph.D candidate in Civil Engineering program.

Miss. Bushra Mustafa a graduate from Women University of Azad Jammu & Kashmir Bagh, Pakistan has secured her position in University of Science and Technology China (USTC), China on ANSO Scholarship level A as a Master’s student in Physics.

Miss. Ayeza Khan completed her BS Mechanical Engineering from University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Peshawar. She got fully funded Belt and Road Initiative CSC Scholarship and admitted in SICHUAN University, China as a Master’s student in Mechanical Engineering program.

Miss. Lubna Akbar a graduate from Women University of Azad Jammu & Kashmir Bagh, Pakistan has secured her position in Xi’an Jiaotong University, Xingqing Campus, China on XJTU-Xi’an City Government Belt & Road Scholarship as a Doctoral student in Materials Science and Engineering.

Engr. Zuhaib Nishtar a graduate from Superior University, Lahore is admitted in China Three Gorges University, China on University Scholarship as a Ph.D candidate in Electrical Engineering program.

• Applicants must be Pakistani/AJ&K national. Dual nationality holders are not eligible to apply.
• Applicants must be in good health.
• Not be in possession of another scholarship issued by the Chinese government or any of its delegations.
• Applicants with incomplete degrees on closing date of application are not allowed to apply.
• Applicants for undergraduate/bachelors program must have intermediate/A-level/FA-FSC (12 years) of education and be under the age of 25 at the time of application.
• Applicants for Master's program must have a Bachelor's degree (16 years) and be under the age of 35 at the time of application.
• Applicants for PhD/Doctoral program must have a Master's degree MS/MPhil (17/18 years) and be under the age of 40 years at the time of application.

Chinese Government Scholarship provide the recipient with the following benefits:

• Category A

  CSC Scholarship covers registration fees, accommodation (in a university residence in a shared room with another person), basic medical insurance and a monthly allowance for personal expenses (between 2,500 and 3,500 Yuan per month, approximately 60,000 and 85000 PKR respectively).

• Category B

  CSC Scholarship covers the same as the Type A scholarship, except for the monthly allowance for personal expenses.

• Category C

  CSC Scholarship is another type of partial scholarship with little benefits.

Category A CSC scholarship is more attractive, therefore it is more competitive due to the high demand. If you can afford living expense, you should apply for Category B or Category C CSC scholarship because it will be easier to obtain.

• Bilateral Program

  This includes full or partial scholarships in accordance with the educational exchange agreements or consensus between the Chinese government and governments of other countries, institutions, universities or international organizations. It supports undergraduate students, graduate students, general scholars and senior scholars.

Applicants shall apply to the dispatching authorities for overseas study of their home countries.

• Chinese University Program

  This is a full scholarship for designated Chinese universities and certain provincial education offices in specific provinces or autonomous regions to recruit outstanding international students for graduate studies in China. It only supports undergraduates, postgraduate students and doctoral students.

Applicants shall apply to the designated Chinese universities undertaking this program.

• Great Wall Program

  This is a full scholarship for the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) to sponsor students and scholars in developing countries to study and research in China. It only supports general scholars and senior scholars.

Applicants shall apply to the National Commissions for UNESCO in their home countries.

• EU Program

  This is a full scholarship to encourage students from EU member countries to study and research in China in order to promote mutual understanding between China and EU members. It supports undergraduate students, graduate students, general scholars and senior scholars.

Applicants shall apply to the Office for Education and Culture, Mission of the P. R. China to the European Union.

• AUN Program

  This is a full scholarship for the ASEAN University Network (AUN) to sponsor students, teachers and scholars from ASEAN member nations to study in China and to enhance the academic exchange and mutual understanding between China and ASEAN members. It only supports graduates.

Applicants shall apply to AUN Secretariat.

• PIF Program

  This is a full scholarship to sponsor students from Pacific island countries to study in China. It supports undergraduates, graduates, general scholars and senior scholars.

Applicants shall apply to Pacific Islands Forum (PIF) Secretariat.

• WMO Program

  This is scholarship for the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) to sponsor international students to study and conduct research in meteorology, hydrology, and water resources supervision and management in China. It only supports undergraduates and graduates.

Applicants shall apply to WMO.

While filling the CSC scholarship, you will be required to choose a type of scholarship. There are three types of program category: Type A, Type B and Type C.

• Select Program Category Type A, if you’re applying through a Chinese Embassy or Ministry of Education (MOE) of your country (Chinese Government Scholarship-Bilateral Program)
• Select Program Category Type B, if you’re applying through a Chinese University (Chinese Government Scholarship-Chinese University Program)
• Select Program Category Type C, if you’re applying through other programs.

The Best Time to Apply:

You are suggested to start preparing application documents in September 2021 and submit your documents to related organizations or agencies in January 2022 and February 2022. The deadline is April but usually you should leave yourself for enough extra time for the process.

Scholarship Result Announcement:

The scholarship result usually will be announced on the official website of the university at the end of July and start of August 2022.

• Application Form for Chinese Government Scholarship (written in Chinese or English);
• Notarized Highest DiplomaDocuments in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized Chinese or English translations.
• Academic Transcripts(written in Chinese or English);Transcripts in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized Chinese or English translations.
• A Study Plan or Research Proposal (written in Chinese or English); This should be a minimum of 200 words for the undergraduate program applicants and 800 words for postgraduate program applicants.
• Two Recommendation Letters (written in Chinese or English);Applicants for undergraduate program and postgraduate program must submit two recommendation letters signed by professors or associate professors.
• A CD of Your Own Works (only required for arts students);Applicants for music studies are requested to submit a CD of their own musical works. Applicants for the fine arts programs must submit a CD of their own works which include two sketches, two color paintings, and two other works.
• Applicants Under the Age of 18 Must Submit Relevant Documents About Their Statutory Guardians in China.
• Foreigner Physical Examination Form (photocopy)
• The Copy of Valid HSK Certificate (if available).
• All documents should be bound together on the top left corner (You should submit TWO sets of bound documents). No application documents will be returned. But due to COVID 19, various universities require only scanned documents.

An Effective CV for Scholarship with give you a lot of benefits to win the scholarship. Therefore, use your CV to market your personal and professional experience. A well-versed CV can enhance your chances of grabbing a scholarship but this can only become possible with you being truthful in your CV.

• 1. Resume Header

CV/Resume header section might seem like a piece of a cake but it doesn’t. you need to be very careful with what you include as this section will help to build trust of your reader on you. One thing to keep in mind is the position of your education history. You can add lower degree levels details or diploma information in case they are relevant to the degree you are applying for.

• Instructions for preparing Police Clearance Certificate

At the time when you apply for CSC scholarship, you must have a police clearance certificate issued by "Police Khidmat Markaz (PKM)". Police Clearance Certificate is required for travelling abroad, jobs in different organizations abroad, immigration etc. Previously, getting character certificate was a complex and time-taking process not just for citizens but for the police too. PKM has simplified and made it time-efficient. The citizen can now apply for Character Certificate from any center all over Punjab rather than physically visiting that particular district/address for which character certificate is required. For example, if the citizen is currently in Lahore and wants to get a certificate from Multan (where he/she lived previously), he/she can apply for it directly from PKM in Lahore instead of going all the way to Multan.

• Original CNIC or B-Form and photocopy
• Original and copy of Passport
